Our home made puliyogare paste offers an easy way to prepare the authentic, tangy and spicy tamarind rice that is a hallmark of South Indian cuisine. How we prepare?
Puliyodharai paste is traditionally made by simmering tamarind pulp with a blend of spices until it reaches the right consistency. We use wood pressed gingelly oil which acts as a preservative to this. No added preservatives or artificial colours. This paste is made using traditional methods and high-quality ingredients, ensuring you don’t have to compromise on taste. It is good to store for about two and half months without refrigeration.
Note
Store this paste in a air-tight container or glass jar. Do not use hands or wet spoons and don’t leave the lid open for a longer time as it will spoil the paste.
